this ceramic vase is burned at 900 degrees celsius, allowing the clay to stay stiff but allows absorption. with time the flower will wither, the water will become moldy and will contain organic food for the growth of algae, moss and mildew on the exterior side of the vase. these elements will become an organic ornament, advancing and changing as time passes. this changes the definition of the vase from a vessel detached from it’s content to a vessel which is part of the natural processes occurring within it.
